So the last six months have been rather hectic...and there have been many new additions to our household...all feathery or furry.
So to start waaaaay back in summer [seems a long time ago!], I came home with a very small furry bundle of grey fluff. Ember was disappointed it was not a koala!
She was soon named Minerva, but nicknamed Minnie...which has stuck ever since. She's a purebred British Shorthair and was 7 weeks old when I received her through work as a sickly runt.
She grew slowly but steadily. Being the runt, she's always been small and even now at 8 months old, she's still tiny for a Brit. She also became such a helpful kitten...
SO HELPFUL...*sigh*
Then a few months later...came a even smaller furry bundle of black fluff! Hubby was not too impressed. Tempest, aptly named as she was found abandoned in the rain, was about 2 weeks old when I got her.
Minnie was not at all impressed with the new addition, and spent the first 2 weeks hissing and running away from the THING!
But soon she forgot to be evil to Tempest and now they get along...ish. Normally involves Minnie ambushing and play mauling Tempest
Tempest is also a runt, and now at 4 months old, she still looks about 7 weeks old and acts about the same age. She's my little problem child, the vets aren't quite sure what's wrong with her...but she's happy. :)
My turkey eggs hatched into these cute fuzzballs...
And then grew into these monstrous things who dont understand the meaning of fences!! But they are so funny to watch. The love to display for anyone or anything!
More recently we gained 1, then 2 more and finally a fourth, baby chick! Hubby is to blame for the first 3...I was only involved in the final one!! It's not like 12 chickens and 2 turkeys isnt enough already...
